      • hmmmm..... Chris I dont doubt for a minute about the species of the last picture... but compare it to ours and our specimen looks nowt like it?!?!?!

        Do they go lighter with every shed or is ours something totally different?
        Every picture i have seen on the net looks like yours. Or are there different colour morphs?
        Still love it to bits though she's a lovely T.

          Mine is about 1 1/2" right now. From pictures I've seen, it looks like they get darker as they get older. I'm not too good at IDing thru pictures but if I had to guess, I would say yours is Haplopelma spp.

          • Yeah she is only about 4 inch in leg span and has a silver sheen too her when you shine light on her , so it could be anybodies guess really i been looking through the bts galleries and there are a few that are maybe's but nothing solid yet.

            • Yeah, going strictly by pictures, I would say either Haplopelma albostriatum (dark specimen) or Haplopelma minax. Either way, she is beautiful.

                      • They're so cute LOL I would say mine is about a molt behind yours, and by the looks of yours, it's closer to the next molt than mine.
