  • Mature Males lacking tibial apophyses list.

A few posts recently have contained questions about maturing males and some regarding the possession of tibial apophyses (or hooks / spurs)
I’m aware there are a few genus where the data is still unpublished and others of which i'm not familiar so I will have ommited some (I’m sure there’s more than this)
Any additions to or any errors i've made, PM me and I’ll update the list (fellow mods and admin feel free to edit and alter at your leisure)

Cheers for that, Colin! that's helpful to have a list

Encyocratella olivacea lack apophyses too, and seeing as the genus is currently monotypic, I guess you can add Encyocratella (genus) to the list

[edit - just noticed you had the other one covered ]

          Thanks Phil...Updated

There is only one species in the genus Encyocratella, so the entire genus definitely lacks apophyses

I notice that T. blondi are on the list, but what about T. apophysis? Do they have spurs or is this a genus thing as well?

                        Thank you Mikhail.

I thought an up to date list would be beneficial on the BTS forum so it would show up within a forum search and provide easy access for the members.
I've updated my list to include those missing when compared to yours.

I notice you don't have Haploclastus, Loxomphalia, loxoptygus on your list, i cannot find any published data on these genus. Do you know of any recent data available?

Except that you need to change Xenodendrophila Gallon 2002, to Encyocratella Strand, 1907 on your list Mikhail, since :

GALLON, R. C. (2005a). Encyocratella olivacea Strand, 1907, a senior synonym of Xenodendrophila gabrieli Gallon, 2003 (Araneae: Theraphosidae: Stromatopelminae) with a description of the male. Zootaxa 1003: pp. 45-56
