How often should I feed my adult tarantula?
Once a week should be adequate (3-4 crickets at a time for medium sized species). If you increase the feeding rate and quantity, your spider will grow quicker and larger.
How often should I feed my spiderlings?
At least twice a week, but they can stand lower rates of feeding for short lengths of time. Remember spiderlings moult more frequently than adults.
What can I feed to my spiders?
Crickets, locusts, mealworms, waxworms, moths, flies, dead rodents and reptiles and lean raw beef. Essentially anything which isn’t poisonous (e.g. brightly coloured moths). Also avoid stinging and excessively spinney prey. Remember to remove all left over food or remains.
